CNC Billet Throttle body

Hi guys some may be aware I have had a standard 6.9 65mm throttle body CAD Scanned. To be enlarged to 85mm and made on a CNC Lathe. It will be a direct bolt on with original bolt pattern and throttle shaft location so it will operate standard geometry. The failed attempt with the 92mm LS throttle body gave extra 28Hp at rear wheels and was only opening 80% . So it will be interesting with this one.

Some may be aware. My Euro engine comes out in a few weeks . To be rebuilt bigger faster stronger [:D]. It is being taken to 7.6 litres by South Side Engines Perth. They are far from cheap but there work is quality. Along with the 85mm throttle body I have ordered a FrankenCIS fully programmable WUR to assist with tunning . Hoping for 500Hp plus . Which is another 170-180 more than it currently makes.

98 I have ordered as said programmable WUR from Dkubus in Adelaide. I also have adjustable cam sprockets and higher lift cams bought from the UK. Will pass on pictures and all details of engine build its been a long time in the making. And it has included a change of cars. But as can be seen with older post I have dynode with this car along the way. It currently makes 255.6Hp at the rear wheels or 325Hp at flywheel. Ant will get to see it when I move east soon. Engine being done before then as South side stored parts bought for old car. One throttle has been spoken for by another esteemed forum member.

As well as the throttle body. I have confirmed order of FrankenCIS tuneable WUR with Dkubus today will have in 2 weeks. FrankenCIS system by Dkubus, component list:
Wideband O2 with The latest Bosch 4.9 sensor, 3 bar map sensor for boost or n/a setup, fast response Intake air temp sensor, engine temp sensor, full braided loom, FrankenCIS e-WUR unit assembled with digital 100 psi sensor, pressure damper, control injector & temp sensor, Microsquirt ECU with sealed case and pre loaded with firmware and base tune to suit start-up. Dedicated ignition loom, option loom, fuel loom. Simple hook up / plug in. Installation manual.

And also upgraded torque converter. Dkubus now offering 2 options in torque converters first is our "rally/road/sporty" converter for 400+hp and then also a new "race/track" model for less rotating mass and bigger bearings plus a higher launch RPM built strong for 750+hp!!

Still thinking about these as I have 16x8 inch real Penta rims. But these are Billet and any size I want thinking 18x8 & 18x9 or 10 just working out if there is room in money I have put away for engine work and paint job this year.

I tweaked the post that shows the injectors to include a line break between the URL and pretty picture. It fits on my computer screen now.

And so it begins. Billet blocks cut for fitting onto CNC Lathe to be made into 85mm throttle bodies.

This reborn throttle body is a crafty bit of innovative thinking. you deserve a medal for persistence. You've taken a damn good idea and applied 21st century technology to execute it. The car has not gone anywhere and hopefully work will recomence later this year . I was involved in a fairly large motor vehicle accident. Was run into by a drunk driver.

Oh man ,I hope you are OK now!. My own 6.9 project has stalled for a few reasons too but this year i hope to get a few of these customers cars squared away and begin to finish the whole thing. I am toying in mind with making a 722.6 trans work behind an m100 .I like how they shift and there are now stand alone ECM's for them.It's what I think is missing from the cars,the ability to have an overdrive. I have all the ducks lined up,I just have to get organised.

Yes I have Intention to go down that path and change rear gearing as Overdrive gearbox will make that viable. Stand alone control boxes are more to do with Chrysler using this box and calling it NAG1.And car builders fitting Hellcat engines to older cars.
