My Early 6.3 on Bring a Trailer
mm63

I listed my 1968 6.3 #43 on Bring a Trailer. I'm mixed about it, but hopeful it will go to a buyer who appreciates its significance and gets it back on the road!

Let's see ... just placed a 5k bid.

EDIT: I'm out. 5k is my maximum.

600 #796 (1967 US version)

300SEL 6.3 #1285 (1969 EURO version)

300SEL 6.3 #5346 (1971 US version project)

Wow, $11,500 seems like a real bargain. Why so cheap, is it because there are so many 6.3s circulating on the US market ? Had it been sold in Europe I am sure the price would end up much higher. "engine does not run", what's the problem, just make it run :)

I am the one who purchased the 6.3 from mm63. At this point I simply picked the car up and brought it to the house. It will be a while before I can start spending any quality time with her. I do plan to start a new thread once I get moving on diagnosing the no-start issue.

I will say the seller is a stand up guy - the car was as he indicated and he and his family were super laid back.

I thought it would be nice for anyone that finds the thread to close the loop to me.

Welcome to the group Richard!

Don't hesitate to ask when you have questions: There's a great deal of valuable knowledge to be found here and among the membership, particularly when it comes to the early 6.3's.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome indeed Richard!

I am one of those members who have spent much thought & effort on keeping my 1968 6.3 in wonderful driving condition and she has truly made it worthwhile :)
