Dear Fellow MB 600 enthusiasts. I have a really nice 600 that has been on offer for a while now. I bought it in the USA, shipped it to Australia and carried out a fair amount of improvements on the car, mainly suspension and chrome as the cars was already very good when I got it. It needs to find a new keeper and I would love to find another enthusiast who might like to look after it for a while.
I am negotiable on the price to a point. The car is advertised with lots of photos on Carssales in Australia, Hemmnings motor news, and Classiccars UK and you can see details and lots of photos.
Please email me with your interest, and I can arrange shipping from Australia. Hope I hear from someone interested in buying a nice car. I just wonder if there is anyone out there in Mercedes enthusiast land who might like to own an iconic machine. I have refurbished this car over some time and it really is in very good condition. Not perfect, but perfectly drivable and can be enjoyed from day one without the need to spend more on the car unless you want to. Why not contact me for detailed information about works carried out. It is ex USA, and in very good condition with LHD , sunroof, lots of refurbishment done in recent years and not driven a great deal. Log books on club plates to verify. Heinz, buyer and seller would be well advised to clarify Incoterms in the agreement. A lot of hidden costs can creep in if this is not clarified ahead of time. Worst case the ship sinks then who will be on the hook[?]

Thank you Art for the information supplied. As the mileage counter only goes to 99,999 I can only assume it has gone over once. But I don’t know for sure. I can’t imagine that the quality of the car, it would not have done more. And you are right. I have only done a few hundred miles in the car as most of the time it was being worked on since it arrived. And it is simply a toy for my indulgence.

As I calculate, that is only 3000 miles a year. The mileage will have little to do with Australia as it is a US car that Heinz has bought into Australia. I'd be surprised if he has driven it outside of Melbourne.

Pardon my ignorance, but that seems like pretty high mileage for a 600, no? Obviously good that it has been driven, and not just a garage queen, and I guess also a function of longer distances being covered Down Under? Just kind of caught my eye.

I have a very nice silver 1972 Mercedes Benz 600 for sale. It came from the USA a couple of years ago and I have spent a lot of money and time improving the car. Mechanically it is very good, interior leather in black was done before I bought the car. Front end completely overhauled. Front and rear bumpers re chromed. The car is an excellent driver.
