ok, thank you! I will do it tonight and let you know, are
they hard to find if I need one?

when I come to think of it it looks like my
pin is grinded down, for some crazy reason...

This are Kari's (from Finland) meassurments :

Then I checked the operation of the wax thermo-element in hot water. The pin was out at 18...20 deg C for 3.5 mm. Here is the test data table:
20 deg C 3.5 mm
30 deg C 4.0 mm
40 deg C 4.3 mm
50 deg C 4.9 mm
60 deg C 5.0 mm
70 deg C 5.8 mm

So , meassure how far your's wil come out first ...

When I say 2-3 mm I mean that
is the total length of the pin,
think it is about 1.5mm when cold
and about 2-3 when warm, so it
is barely reaching the adjustment
at the pump...

No, when the pin comes out, then it is working.

Now you have to check those given values ....

I did that, it only comes out a couple of mm when heated, maybe 3mm....
I think it is damaged, what do you think?

Then you can check the values of the thermostat in heated water :

my pump is rebuild yes, but I didnt ship him the thermostat, just the
pump, cold start valves are not leaking, Ive checked twice, even plugged them
no diffrence on how it runs, rich with and without...

these tests where done with the three wires on side of pump disconnected, I'll try
again with them hooked up, didnt think they had anything to do
with this.

I removed the 2 hoses at the thermostat housing and put them
together so i could manually push the adjustment down
when idling, then it goes from VERY rich sputtering and smoking
to perfect idle...so Im thinking the thermostat is not doing its job?

ps. Im used to work on carburated V8's so this is all new to me:)

I Thought you injectionpump was rebuild ???

1. Are you sure the cables from the electricity are correct fitted ???? How is the behavior when disconnected ??

2. Have you checked the coldstart valves are not leaking ???
does anyone know where can buy one? and
the housing and gasket? mine is not working right,
car runs very rich when warm, when I adjust the regolator
manually it runs perfect.

thanks
