The packet duly arrived and here are the contents



Each kit has two teflon guides and four O rings as below



Here is a list of the sizes if anyone wants to make their own but probably worth waiting to see if they actually fit.

Here are the four O rings and their sizes









And here are the two teflon guides with an angled shot of each to show the overall shape a bit more clearly.

The first is a rectangular cross section like a washer.





The second is shaped with an "L cross section.





The information may be useful in the future - Later I will put up a posting about how it all goes.

Anyway - he seemed quite a knowledgeable M-B Tech with 30 years experience and he had three of those kits.

He also says that he owns a 6.9 and has previously replaced the seals in both his front struts with good result.

So two of them are hopefully in an envelope and coming to Western Australia.

We will see what arrives and I might call on Tim's wisdom to help me open up a strut.

Not enough detail to determine if the seller is blowing smoke - I wasn't aware MB ever sold repair kits, and I don't believe the struts have been NLA since Y2K...
