Nobody here can tell you if it was the 6th car for the UK. Only the dealer in Brentford could when they have still data from that period, which I doubt.

About the interior is no code on the datacard, but code 992 for the special wishes on the productionpage I , where you can find the specifications of that interior. I don't have that productionpage I of your car. That modification could be a special request from the dealer or owner who ordered it.

The original motor was 100.980-22-000161

That car was imho ordered in 1963 and cam from the productionline 29 januar 1965. It had productionnumber 00020 , but was already the 23th RHD SWB (from 1964 ???).

When you have the productionpage I, I would like to get a copy from you .
I've recently bought a Right Hand Drive SWB,#154, which I believe was the sixth car delivered into UK ( can anyone confirm this).
It has no history and has been stored for a number of years, though it has clearly had some love in the past. Unfortunately this has not kept to original specification, and the walnut trim over the instruments and under the door armrests has been 'updated' to leather. She's also had an engine transplant at some time, with a late M100 engine from a 300 SEL 6.3.
I have had the suspension valves reconditioned, and she now sits up for weeks on end, dropping only slightly at the front.
The hydraulics all work now, after sorting out some wrong pipework connections, but I have a few leaks, which I'll try to resolve with renewed seals over the coming weeks. Fortunately, I have some NOS switches, junction units, and cylinders if new seals don't cure the leaks.
I'd appreciate any information members might have about the car's past, and also some advice on replacing seals without causing any damage.
Barry.
