Tom is who I usually go through when I need a data card. Unfortunately, MB has recently started requiring Tom to ask for proof of ownership by the cars owner in order to acquire a data card. A lot of times I need a data card for a customers car in which the customer is nowhere around or can't be bothered with completing such a meaningless (to them) task. So I've started getting the data cards through various dealerships, which may be part of the problem regarding the other sheets. In addition, Tom is probably the only one at the classic center that even knows about this part of a data card, and he's getting ready to retire! It's not going to be pretty in the future. :/

Normaly those pages are available, but some are missing ….
Just ask Tom Hansen from the Classic Center .
So if these additional sheets are not in the archives will they at least be able to tell us that they're not?
it is called the Produktions-Auftrag I and might be one or more pages.
It should be present when the code 992 and or 993 is used or in the Hinweis code 2 or 3 is mentioned.

But in some cases this/those page(s) is/are not available anymore cause got lost and could not be archived. For example the black 600 from Chris Johnson with red leather in combination with burled wallnut was such a car.

In later cars also the code 298 in the field Ausstattung was used for leather with an unusual wood choise …
Art, I have several cars that have special requests like this when the car was ordered. They all have either code 993 and/or a number in the "Hinweis" block, so I know there are is an additional sheet to the data card somewhere. I've tried and tried to get the additional sheets that are supposed to go with their data cards that shows this information. It there some magic word or special person I have to speak with to get these sheets? No one seems to know what I't talking about when I make a request for said additional sheets. :/

Paul, Tom Hansen, I welcome your input here, too!
Yes Aaron, it was a special order if my interpretation of the build data card is correct.

I have a dash piece with a chunk out of the radio surround and no vinyl strip. The ash tray and glove box door are complete. I am missing the right vent piece, it does not have the lever. I was hoping to find something correct and complete. I may have to piecemeal something.

Jim, if you have not selected your refinisher, let me recommend Madura Concepts of Goleta, CA, near Santa Barbara. They have an enormous quantity of veneers to match almost anything by Rolls, Jaguar Mercedes and others. I had a cigarette burn in the glove compartment door. They told me it was easier to make a new one than fix. Perfect match. I will show you next week.

It's so unusual to see walnut root veneer with black interior. It looks beautiful!
Yes, that is correct Art.
RCM, it might work, but it would have to be altered for the clock, at the very least.
It is a left hand drive.
Thank you

I have this type of wood out of a 1968 280 SE. Would this be the same? I'm pretty sure it is all there but probably will have to be refinished.
Like this except LHD.

Art
It’s the kind which has the vinyl strip.
