Thankfully I was able to repair what I had. I even found the correct Belleville washers to complete the repair. All back in operation. Thanks again for the assistance.

Thank you for all of your patience and support with this question. I am in the process of restoring a 69’ 6.3 that was in long term storage for 15+ years. The good news is that after this winters work on the engine and air suspension the car is running and driving well (forward). Unfortunately the cars reverse was very weak which is what prompted me to remove and review the reverse piston. The reverse piston was indeed an issue as one belleville washer was shattered and caused the piston to hang up and bend the shaft. Additionally when removing the bent shaft and washer locations/order were lost. Thankfully I was able to straighten the shaft and find a source for the belleville that was broken (if anyone ever needs one let me know). I reassembled the 15 washers order with similar pistons I have evaluated. The car can now reverse however is weak. Is there a specific order directionally to decrease the weakness in the reverse gear or is this issue unrelated. Thanks again for your opinion and support. I am attempting to include photos this time as well if they do not error.
Thanks Again - Andrew

Posting photos here is a chronic problem that hopefully will go with the new website currently being built. As has been said a hundred times before, the photo must be about 1000 x 750 pixels or smaller, have a name which includes only letters or numbers or both, no # @ etc and be .jpg. Art

I am in search for a reverse gear piston shaft and a single belleville washer to repair my 6.3. Unfortunately MB Classic as well as several MB Transmission shops no longer have these parts available so I am writing with hopes that some of you may have a source.
